FAQ

Quick answers to common questions

Don't see your question? Send us a message — we usually reply within an hour.

When is the tax filing deadline for 2026 in Canada?
The deadline to file your 2025 personal income tax return is April 30, 2026. Self-employed individuals and their spouses have until June 15, 2026 to file, but any balance owing is still due April 30, 2026 to avoid CRA interest. Corporations must file their T2 within six months of their fiscal year-end.
When can I file my 2025 tax return?
The CRA's NETFILE service typically opens in late February 2026 for 2025 income tax returns. You can gather your documents and book with us before then — we'll have everything prepared and ready to file the moment NETFILE opens, so your refund arrives as early as possible.
When does tax season 2026 start?
Tax season for the 2025 tax year runs from late February 2026 (when CRA NETFILE opens) through the April 30, 2026 filing deadline. We recommend booking in February or early March — appointments fill quickly as the deadline approaches, and early filing means an earlier refund.
What documents do I need to file my personal taxes?
Your T4 (employment income), any T5/T3/T4A slips, RRSP contribution receipts, charitable donations, medical and tuition receipts, child-care expenses, and details of any self-employment or rental income. We send you a personalized checklist when you book.
Do you serve clients outside of Toronto?
Yes. We work with clients across the GTA — Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, Oakville and Burlington — and offer fully remote service Canada-wide via secure client portal and video meetings.
Can you help with a CRA audit or review letter?
Absolutely. We respond to CRA audits, reviews, reassessments and notice of objection on your behalf. We also handle voluntary disclosures for unreported income or unfiled returns. Bring us your letter and we'll take it from there.
How much does tax preparation cost?
Personal returns start at $79. Self-employed and rental returns start at $179. Corporate (T2) packages start at $599. We always quote you a fixed price in writing before any work begins.
I haven't filed taxes for several years. Can you help?
Yes — this is one of our specialties. We regularly help clients catch up on multiple years of unfiled returns, often using the CRA's Voluntary Disclosures Program (VDP) to reduce or eliminate penalties.
Where can I file my taxes near me in Brampton or Oshawa?
Right here — our Brampton office at 41 Windmill Blvd serves Peel and west-GTA residents, and our Oshawa office at 393 Vancouver Crescent serves Durham and east-GTA. Walk-ins are welcome during tax season, but booking ahead at (647) 627-7468 means zero wait time and a guaranteed slot.
How fast can you file my return during tax season?
For straightforward personal (T1) returns, we can often complete and NETFILE your return the same day if you bring all your slips. For self-employed and corporate returns, typical turnaround is 48–72 hours from receipt of documents. We never miss CRA deadlines.
Do you offer walk-in tax filing or do I need an appointment?
Both. Walk-ins are welcome at the Brampton and Oshawa offices during posted hours, but we strongly recommend booking ahead during peak tax season (March–April) — call (647) 627-7468, message us on WhatsApp, or use the form below.
How do I apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) in Canada?
The Disability Tax Credit (DTC) is a non-refundable tax credit worth up to roughly $9,000 per year, and the CRA allows up to 10 years of retroactive refunds. To apply, CRA Form T2201 must be completed by both you and your medical practitioner. We handle the entire process — eligibility assessment, form preparation, doctor coordination, T1 adjustment requests for past years — on a contingency or fixed-fee basis. Book a free 15-min DTC review.
Can I file my income tax return online from anywhere in Ontario?
Yes. We file Canadian T1 income tax returns online via CRA NETFILE for clients across Ontario and Canada-wide. Send us your T-slips by secure portal, email, or even photos through WhatsApp — we prepare, walk you through the return on a quick video call, you sign electronically, and we file. Most personal returns are done within 48 hours.
Do you offer a free tax return estimate or calculator?
Yes — bring or send us last year's T-slips and we'll calculate this year's expected refund (or balance owing) for free, in 15 minutes, no obligation. Tax return calculators online give you a ballpark; we give you a real estimate accounting for every credit and deduction you actually qualify for.
